Olympiad Exams
Subject-specific competitive exams (Math, Science, English, Computer, GK and more) held at school, state, national and international levels — used to identify and stretch high-potential students.
Major Olympiad organisers
- SOF — Science Olympiad Foundation (NSO, IMO, IEO, NCO, IGKO).
- Silverzone Foundation (iiO, iOEL, SKGKO).
- Unified Council (UCO, NSTSE, UIEO).
- HBCSE / Indian National Olympiads — leading to the International Olympiads.
- ASSET, IAIS (Macmillan) for skill-based assessment.
Why participate
Olympiads expose children to questions that are deeper and more application-oriented than regular school tests. A child preparing for an Olympiad practises problem-solving, time management and exam temperament — all useful for later board exams, JEE/NEET, and competitive recruitment.
Don't overdo it
One or two Olympiads a year, in subjects the child enjoys, is plenty. Signing up for ten Olympiads simultaneously turns curiosity into stress. The goal is enrichment and confidence — not certificate-counting.
