ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education)
An English-medium examination certificate awarded by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) at the end of Class 10.
How is ICSE structured?
ICSE is a Class 10 certificate. Its Class 12 counterpart is the Indian School Certificate (ISC). Both are administered by CISCE, a private national-level examination board in India.
What makes ICSE distinct?
ICSE is widely regarded for its comprehensive English literature curriculum, project-heavy internal assessments and broader subject coverage (compulsory second language, environmental education, art education at Class 10 level).
